As an otaku, Hikari shuns social interaction and has just one outsider friend in school. Unfortunately, his classmates relentlessly bully him for his unconventional personality. One day, he's paired with Igarashi Iroha to clean the school pool. Hikari despises everything about Iroha- her truancy, impoliteness, loneliness, and supposed promiscuity. To Hikari's surprise, however, Iroha behaves kindly toward him and defends him against bullies. Despite Hikari's distrust and bitterness, Iroha refuses to reject him as abnormal. Slowly but surely, Hikari starts viewing Iroha as potential girlfriend material. Will he be able to maintain a romance with her?
