Myoujou Academy, a prestigious boarding school, harbors a secret group known as "Class Black." Disguised as an ordinary class, its sole objective is assassination. One student is designated as the target while the remaining members are assassins vying for the chance to claim their wish. But, the catch is that they only have one attempt, losing excommunication is certain for those who miss their mark.
Azuma Tokaku, a disinterested and passionless trainee assassin, finds herself enrolled in the latest iteration of Class Black, comprising 12 other girls. Haru Ichinose, a bubbly and idealistic student, stands out among the plethora of classmates. Haru only desires to make friends and graduate, but unfortunately, she is the assigned target. The students commence plotting Haru’s assassination, however, Azuma finds herself inclined towards a different course of action upon developing an endearing affection for Haru. Finally, Azuma has discovered an altruistic cause to fight for.
