The anime series centers around Ikkou Satonaka, a promiscuous individual who possesses the ability to transform into a super-monk capable of conducting mass exorcisms, thanks to his infatuation with the girls he lives with. He trains alongside six nuns, namely Haruka Amanogawa, Sumi Ikuina, Hinata and Sakura Sugai, Chitose Nanbu, and Yuuko Atouda, at Saienji Temple as he strives to become a Buddhist priest. Each nun personifies one of the bosatsu from the six lower realms of the traditional Buddhist cosmology.
Although Ikkou is attracted to all the girls, his main love interest is Chitose, and their love/hate relationship is typical of the anime genre. The series depicts several misunderstandings, beatings, and outbursts where Ikkou is powerless against Chitose's influence. However, Ikkou's ultimate power has a detrimental effect as it exacerbates his already strong perverted tendencies.
The anime explores the negative consequences of Ikkou's powers and the challenges faced by the other nuns as they try to control their powers. Additionally, the show delves into the relationships between the characters, which are mainly platonic.
