Mikoto Yamada, having recently left her rural hometown, is struggling to make friends at Uchouten High School. Ren Nekozaki, the student council secretary, notices Mikoto's loneliness and proposes forming a club with her that would meet at a shrine near the school.
However, their club space is soon infiltrated by Takuya Kumakura, Yozora Usagida, Airi Shishimaru, and Ritsu Pengin, who also wanted to form a club but lacked the necessary support. To meet the school's requirements, the four girls create their own club, but they need a proper club room to make it official.
Knowing that Mikoto's agreement is crucial, the four girls put forth their best effort to win her over. Initially, Ren is hesitant to welcome their intrusion and fears that they may ruin her time with Mikoto. However, she eventually agrees, and the girls become fast friends, despite their differing interests. Their bond proves to be strong and unbreakable.
