The plot of Ashita no Nadja revolves around a girl who spent her childhood in an English orphanage. Upon discovering that she may not be an orphan after all, she becomes the target of some shady individuals. Fleeing the orphanage, she joins a group of performers and embarks on a journey across Europe in search of her mother and her true identity. Along the way, she makes new acquaintances, forges friendships, and finds herself drawn to two suitors- Francis, a scion of wealth, and the enigmatic Black Rose who dons a mask and steals.
