Makoto, who had once been a victim of bullying in his former school, yearns to be the protagonist of his own story. During a school trip to Kyoto, he stumbles upon a notice featuring his face and takes it as a sign. While examining it, he falls into a river by mistake. Upon awakening, he realizes that he has been transported to the Bakumatsu period in Japan.
