Kamazaki feels isolated at school, as if a boundary has been placed around her that no one dares to cross. Her harsh facial expression and social awkwardness contribute to this, but her ill-tempered reputation and tendency toward violence are the main factors. However, her fortunes begin to shift in her second year of high school when the friendly and popular Kume Asami breaks through Kamazaki's invisible barrier and befriends her, introducing her to the joys of companionship and the 5-man soccer club that meets on the roof. As Kamazaki tentatively joins Kume's club, she may discover the potential to transcend others' negative expectations and embrace a happier, more fulfilling high school experience.
