A young glider technician has a mishap and crashes into an unfamiliar tree, only to discover that it is the last dragon's abode on the planet. In an unexpected turn of events, the technician acquires the dragon's abilities unintentionally as they team up against knights searching for the "Dragon Pearl" – a valuable object that contains a dragon's lifespan and powers.
