The sky-high utopia of Zalem dominates the horizon, casting a shadow over the polluted wasteland known as The Scrapyard, where both humans and cyborgs struggle to survive amongst sprawling heaps of garbage. It is here that Daisuke Ido, a cyborg repair specialist, discovers the head of a young female cyborg while scavenging for parts, and rebuilds her body, naming her Gally. Despite having no memory of her past life, Gally remains content by Ido's side, until she uncovers Ido's secret job as a hunter-warrior. Against Ido's warnings, Gally chooses to become a hunter-warrior herself, using her newfound strength to unravel the mystery of her identity and recover fragments of her past by navigating the dangerous alleys of The Scrapyard and beyond.
