Nanase Iruke is the protagonist in this tale. She is petite, has a tomboyish personality, and finds solace in playing volleyball. On her seventeenth birthday, her volleyball team disbands, leaving her sorrowful. Trying to rejuvenate herself, Iruke and her former teammates go on a trip to the coast where they chance upon beach volleyball. Iruke excitedly rushes to join a match, only for the local volleyball star to disparage her due to her diminutive height. Iruke, angry at the insult, challenges the diva to a game to prove her prowess. Although it seems like an uphill task, Iruke possesses an ace in the hole, and she shows everyone that mocking her about her volleyball skills will never happen again on the shores.
