The story begins with the destruction of Qingcheng by a group of radical martial artists from Wudong. Their leader and disciples have one goal: to dominate all other martial arts sects and kill anyone who opposes them.
Yan Heng, a young Qingcheng swordsman, finds refuge in Jing Lie, also known as the 'Wudang Hunter', who suffered a similar fate at the hands of the Wudong group. With both being the only survivors of their respective factions, they join forces and set out on a quest for revenge.
