Coming from a boisterous family with two younger siblings who often interrupt his solitude, Narasaki reluctantly agrees to oversee the school library during off-hours at the urging of his teacher. Unexpectedly, he meets the infamous and rebellious Natsuki Terashima, who has also been assigned library duty. Despite being cautious of Terashima's dubious reputation at first, Narasaki's reservations dissipate as they spend quiet evenings lost in books. While their unlikely companionship takes root, Narasaki realizes that their time together is limited to the summer break. He must accept the significance of this phase and the worthwhile bond he has forged with Terashima.
