Umehara is assigned to weed the courtyard on a scorching summer day, and to make matters worse, he must partner with Mizue, whom he has a hard time getting along with. Despite his initial apprehension, Umehara gradually develops feelings for Mizue - a sentiment that he keeps a secret from everyone. However, Mizue stuns him by requesting a portrait, prompting them to spend more time together in the school's art studio after-hours. This compels Umehara to face his emotions head-on, unwilling to keep them bottled up any longer.
