Shizuku Futaba is a solitary girl who avoids interaction with her classmates and prefers to have her meals in solitude. Her life takes a turn when a student named Saki Mikoshiba joins her class and sits next to her. While Shizuku tries to introduce herself, the rest of the class interrupts and welcomes Saki. Despite Shizuku distancing herself from Saki due to their failed interaction, Saki continues to shower her with attention, leaving Shizuku puzzled.
Later, when Shizuku shares the events of the day with her concerned brother Mio, he encourages her to engage with Saki more and make her first friend. But what Mio doesn't know is that Saki is harboring a crush on Shizuku!
