The book, housing the Clow Cards, warns that breaking their seal will result in disaster. Sakura Kinomoto, a charming ten-year-old enrolled in Tomoeda Elementary School, discovers the enigmatic Clow tome in her father's library. Upon opening it, she meets Keroberos, the Creature of the Seal, who protects the Clow Cards. However, the Cards have escaped, leaving Keroberos as the sole guardian. Sakura must now capture the Cards with the help of her guardian Kero and friend Tomoyo Daidouji. Armed with a magical bird-shaped key and new abilities as the Cardcaptor, Sakura fights to preserve peace and restore order.
