In the year 198X, on December 20th, a strange event occurred. People all over the world had a shared dark dream, but it was only the beginning of something much more alarming. As days passed, more and more individuals were unable to wake up from their slumber. Rumors circulate of R-dreams, lifelike and experienced collectively, but plagued by nightmare creatures known as Zel. Hokuto, a struggling art student, initially had doubts about R-dreams until he encountered one himself. In this altered state, he forms new bonds, combats Zel, and strives to comprehend the perilous situation at hand.
