Thirteen angel swords were bestowed upon General Tokugawa with the aim of bringing peace to Japan. Unfortunately, as soon as he established a new dynasty, General Tokugawa was assassinated by his previous twelve commanders, who were also known as the masters of the twelve sacred swords. Dohran, General Tokugawa's inexperienced son, received the thirteenth sword, Fire Phoenix. Time has passed and Dohran, travelling incognito, seeks vengeance in order to restore the "world of laughter."
