Ten years ago, Oyamada Yusuke was the sole survivor and witness to a nationally-known serial kidnapping case that saw the disappearance of 108 children, which remains unsolved to this day. Since then, Yusuke has been able to see malevolent spirits and has since made efforts to distance himself from society. However, he meets Kanon, a member of an anti-doll organization, who explains to him that the spirits he has been seeing are called dolls - physical manifestations of powerful human emotions. Eventually, Yusuke accidentally frees Masaki, a doll so dangerous that even the organization could not destroy her, and learns of her connection to the kidnapping case that he was a part of years ago.
