The protagonist of this story is Hirono Hiro, a financially struggling student who makes a living through creating shoujo manga. One chilly Christmas evening, he meets an eccentric woman at church and soon after has his motorcycle stolen by another peculiar young lady. Determined to get his ride back, he pursues her and finds her lying unconscious on the road. The girl, Miyamura Miyako, had her purse stolen by a motorcyclist. As they spend more time with each other, they come to appreciate their high school experiences and other aspects of their lives. Additionally, Hiro's best friend from childhood, Shindou Kei, plays a significant role in his life.
