Aoi Yukimura and her childhood friend, Hinata Kuraue, stood on the summit and pledged to climb the mountain together again in the future. However, as time went on, the two friends lost touch and Aoi suffered from acrophobia after an accident on a playground.
Aoi found solace in indoor hobbies and was content to start high school at a leisurely pace. But when she reunited with Hinata, who reminded her of their promise, Aoi's expectations changed. Despite her initial reluctance, the familiar scenery rekindled memories of their mountain adventure. Aoi agreed to join Hinata for another climb, leading to new experiences and even new friendships.
