Despite being admired for her striking appearance at school, Kyouko Fudatsuki is fiercely protected by her brother Kenji, who won't tolerate anyone showing even the slightest interest in her. Although he seems solely preoccupied with his sister, Kenji's ultimate goal is to ensure her safety.
What no one knows is that Kyouko is actually a jiangshi. If her hair is let loose, she loses control and attacks anyone in her path. In order to prevent innocent people from getting hurt, she must consume blood daily and always wear a special ribbon in her hair. Kenji not only ensures that his sister receives a steady supply of blood but also struggles to deal with her unpredictable behavior during these jiangshi episodes, which makes it difficult for him to understand her true emotions.
