Through the perspective of Arisugawa Hikaru, a first-year high school student, the tale of Gaitou unfolds. Gaitou, a dream thief that purges the shadows hidden within souls, is brought to light. As a member of the Gaitou, Hikaru embarks on a mission to capture Gai rabbits - malevolent beings who seek out human despair. Together with his partner Ban, Hikaru protects people from succumbing to hopelessness. However, the ultimate showdown is yet to commence.
