Gou, the wife of the second Tokugawa shogun Hidetada, is the main topic of the 50th NHK Taiga drama titled "Gou". Born as the third daughter of daimyo Azai Nagamasa, Gou's sister was married to Oda Nobunaga's sister while another sister wedded the daimyo Kyogoku Takatsugu. Gou had an elder sister who became a partner of Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
