Despite being an accomplished student with an A+ grade and the admiration of his peers, Taiyo Ichinose keeps a secret desire to become a manga writer. However, he keeps this dream hidden for fear of the judgments and assumptions that come with such ambition. Taiyo worries that following his passion will lead to becoming a social outcast like his classmate, Anezaki Runa, who also dreams of creating manga but faces difficulty connecting with others.
One day, Runa discovers Taiyo's hidden passion and encourages him to embrace his creativity and ignore societal pressures. Taiyo realizes that he has been holding himself back out of fear of failure and societal expectations.
