After a tragic accident claimed the lives of both her parents, 18-year-old Chouko Mizushima was left feeling hopeless and lacking in motivation to carry on. She sought refuge with various family members until eventually settling in with Kei Mizushima, a reserved and private writer. Kei initially struggled to connect with Chouko's emotional turmoil, and she felt out of place in his home. Yet, as she tended to his garden, Kei began to warm up to her presence.
