About to embark on high school, Haru Okamoto's passion lies with katanas. As a child, she stumbled upon one at her grandparents' house. With the blade taken away, they promised to return it on her reaching adulthood. Regrettably, at 15, Haru does not meet their definition of an adult, considered too immature and excitable. However, she finds solace in the nearly-forgotten Iaido club at her new high school. Pushing to recruit members while confronting her fear of boys, Haru discovers her love for Japanese swords has a much deeper meaning than first believed.
