Hodaka, an introverted and isolated man with a sweet tooth, indulges in his secret pastime of creating delectable treats. During one of his quiet moments admiring the vibrant blooms, he discovers Yamana, the shining star of his workplace, collapsed outside his door. Without hesitation, Hodaka offers him water and some homemade madeleines. Yamana is enamored with the delicious delicacies and begins to pester Hodaka at the office. Feeling overwhelmed, Hodaka extends an invitation to Yamana to visit his home, and what happens next is anyone's guess.
