Kouji, a sluggish high school student, is just drifting through his days without direction. One afternoon, he discovers a young boy dozing under a tree. A dog and a cat rest on either side of the boy, all of them basking in the light filtering through the leaves.
Gradually, Kouji recognizes that the boy, Daichi, is surprisingly similar to him. They share the gift of hearing the murmurs of objects and creatures around them. However, Kouji believes he has lost that ability long ago... or has he?
