While staying at the opulent and pricey Hotel La Vie en Rose, Tachibana Kaori unintentionally ends up spending a night there. However, she lacks sufficient funds to cover the hefty lodging charge. The hotel's receptionist, Kyuno, then informs her that the only way to settle her debt is by working it off. Despite Kyuno's cruel and frugal nature, no one at the hotel knows anything about his past. Despite his bossy attitude, Kaori gradually opens up to him regarding her own painful past. To her surprise, Kaori discovers that Kyuno might possess a gentle side as well.
