After her parents' split, 16-year-old Hana moved to Sapporo where she was dumped by her boyfriend. However, her first night in the new city was spent helping her collapsed neighbor Hiroto, who she discovered was her next-door neighbor. The next day, she learned that he was not only a teacher but also her class instructor, and despite Nishiwaki's animosity towards him, the other students adored him for his friendly nature. As Hana and Hiroto kept crossing paths, she found herself increasingly drawn to him. Things got more complicated with her ex-boyfriend's arrival in Sapporo, adding further complexity to their relationship.
