Takeru is grief-stricken after losing his closest companion and yearns for a reunion with Takuya. Gazing at a shooting star, he implores for one final encounter. Suddenly, a shining light appears and directs Takeru to an enormous opening in an ancient tree stump. To his amazement, the cavity reveals an entire city that Takeru identifies as his own. However, there is a significant contrast: Takuya is alive and thriving in this new realm, while Takeru is not.
