Japan developed the Infinite Stratos (IS) in the near future as a space armor. However, it was later converted into a military weapon until it was transformed into a sport. It was believed that only women could operate it until Orimura Ichika emerged. Ichika was the younger brother of the renowned pilot, Orimura Chifuyu. She represented Japan and achieved an undefeated professional career. Surprisingly, Ichika was the only male capable of operating an IS in the world. He was admitted to an all-female IS Academy, where his sister was his teacher. Being the only guy on campus gained him a great deal of attention from the female students, who were all competing for his affection. His focus was to master the operation of his IS, but with so much flirting going on around him, he barely had the time.
