Meisuke Nueno, also known as Nube, is the lead character in the series. As a teacher at Doumori Elementary for a 5th-grade class, he doubles as an exorcist with a range of tactics at his disposal. His most potent weapon is the Demon Hand, which houses an oni's chaotic power in his left hand. The story follows Nube and Doumori class 5-3's pupils as they encounter supernatural occurrences that run the gamut from strange and turbulent to outright bizarre and nonsensical. The series also features two separate one-shot stories: the initial pilot with the same title in volume two and the second pilot entitled "Jigoku Sensei Nubo" in volume one.
