Mia, a member of the royal family in a country where the population is divided into either masochists (M) or sadists (S), is predominantly of the latter. Her daily obligations involve belittling, trampling, and otherwise tormenting her subjects, who seem to derive pleasure from the experience. However, things take a turn when Mia is required to spend a year studying abroad in a country where people are not inclined towards either extreme. When Mia enrolls in a new school in this foreign land, a comical clash of cultures ensues.
