Kajika possesses extraordinary abilities as a boy from a village. His demeanor was akin to that of a mischievous imp. One fateful day, he loses his mind, leading to the demise of a fox. The fox's spirit, in turn, curses him, diminishing his powers. Kajika, now part-human, part-fox, suffers banishment from his village. The only way to break the curse is to rescue 1000 souls.
