The God Weapon Control Division of Hondo Police takes charge of a peculiar case involving an island that is entirely enveloped in darkness due to a colossal lid. The task of piercing through the impenetrable lid falls upon Ganji and Suzu Amamiya, two officers who possess the necessary skills for the job.
As they delve into the strange case, they uncover that the inhabitants of the island are under the control of their priest Guji, who requires daily worship and sacrifices in the name of their deity. However, Ganji and Suzu are suspicious of the origins of the lid, believing that it is more complicated than the work of a mere criminal.
