After spending six years away from her hometown due to family circumstances, Tsugu Miikura is excited to be reunited with her childhood friends Yuushin, Asari, and Sora in high school. However, Tsugu fails to see the cracks that have formed in their friendship since they last saw each other. Asari's jealousy of Tsugu's popularity causes her to harass her, while Yuushin bullies Sora to cope with his personal life.
When Tsugu saves Sora from attempting suicide, she proposes they run away from home. Sora accepts and promises to become stronger in the future. With nothing but each other, some money, and Tsugu's broken Fender Stratocaster, they embark on a journey of self-discovery to Tokyo.
Meanwhile, Yuushin and Asari are forced to confront their inner demons without their friends. They soon realize that they haven't truly changed after all.
