During an expedition to study the ancient Silk Road, Iba, a young and passionate historian, goes missing. One year later, Kyoko, his girlfriend, makes it her mission to unravel the mystery surrounding his disappearance. Upon her arrival, Kyoko is taken aback when she comes across the protective charm she had gifted Iba. In a sudden turn of events, Kyoko is engulfed in a dark spiral, and before she knows it, she loses consciousness. Upon regaining consciousness, she finds herself in a strange place and learns that Iba is alive – but serving as a warrior-slave under the reign of Genghis Khan in 13th century Mongolia. When they finally reunite, they quickly realize that the challenges they'll face will be more cruel than their previous ones.
