Kobayashi's workday is a monotonous routine, but after hours she unwinds with a night of drinking alongside her colleagues. However, one morning her mundane life takes a sharp turn when a dragon unexpectedly appears at her doorstep. Naming herself Tooru, the dragon shape-shifts into a young maid and requests to live as Kobayashi's personal housemaid, having met her the prior night in the mountains while she was inebriated.
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon chronicles the daily life of Kobayashi, her dragon maid Tooru, and their peers, as they overcome their differences and grow closer to one another.
