Despite Shinta's father's allergies preventing him from having a cat as a pet, he still enjoys playing with them. In fact, the feeling is mutual as the feline friends are often attracted to Shinta in more than one way. They sometimes even act as his girlfriend, and try to get his attention with their meows.
