Extensive remodeling at her boarding house during high school leaves Mayama Suzu without a home. Fortunately, her mother's friend, Naoko, graciously invites her into her own residence. However, excitement turns into anxiety for Mayama when she learns that she will be sharing the abode with Saeki Hotaru, a reserved and charming fellow classmate. Mayama advises Saeki to keep a low profile at school, but the latter's laid-back demeanor frequently causes her uneasiness. Yet, as time passes, they grow accustomed to each other's company and begin to intertwine their daily routines, strengthening their bond.
