High school student Takao Akizuki frequently skips class on rainy mornings to venture to a charming garden in Tokyo. He dreams of becoming a shoemaker and dedicates his time to researching and illustrating designs. It's during a visit to this verdant oasis that he comes across Yakari Yukino, a woman with a compelling aura that enchants him.
Though they don't exchange names, they continually meet at the same spot and eventually grow comfortable in each other's presence. As the rainy season winds down, both must confront their personal uncertainties and find the courage to take their own paths.
