Umezu Kazuo, renowned as the "Stephen King of Japan" for his mastery in horror manga, has had several of his stories adapted into films. Scary Book, Umezu's collection of horror stories, is set to be presented for the first time to Western readers by Dark Horse Manga. The first volume, Reflections, features two spine-chilling tales. "Mirror" shows the story of a conceited girl whose reflection starts to manipulate her existence mercilessly. Meanwhile, "Demon's Revenge" depicts a merciless samurai pursuing vengeance for his son's injuries, but things take an unexpected turn.
