Esther Mayfield is an ordinary teenage girl living in 19th Century London, but with a unique ability to see spectral beings that has been with her since childhood. Residing in a modest district of the city, she supports herself through the trade of flower selling. Esther assumed that her mundane lifestyle would persist indefinitely, until a striking and wealthy Count materializes before her.
