In a small village nestled at the base of a waterfall stands Milo, a young girl. The village is hemmed in by lofty cliffs, and its dwellers have been forbidden by their elders from venturing past these cliffs to explore the outside world. Milo has adjusted to this way of life and contributes to her community by using her inventiveness to create various necessities. Yet, a peaceful life is abruptly shattered when a mechanical monster emerges from the waterfall and unleashes destruction on everything in its path.
