Photographer Shunji Fujishiro awakens in a hospital bed after collapsing on a staircase, only to be met with irritation at the doctor in charge of his care, Mutsumi Higa's seemingly lackadaisical response. Despite this, Shunji finds himself invigorated and inspired for his photographic endeavors. Meanwhile, Mutsumi is fascinated by Shunji's forthright and spontaneous personality, a far cry from his own.
