It has been eight years since Kiniro no Corda occurred. Kohinata Kanade, a second-year violin student, now resides at Seiso Academy's Music Division. She lives in the Linden Hall dormitory with her childhood friends Kisaragi Ritsu and Kyouya, who are siblings. They work hard every day practicing as members of their orchestra club in hopes of winning the highly respected national music competition. A stranger approaches Kanade one day and informs her that her performance is lacking "flower."
