The events of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha ViVid unfold four years after the events of Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS. In StrikerS, Nanoha Takamachi rescued a young girl named Vivio and adopted her, only to discover that she was the reincarnation of the powerful Sankt Kaiser, Olivie Segbrecht. Fast-forwarding to ViVid, Vivio is now in her fourth year of elementary school and has been granted her very own intelligence device called Sacred Heart. This device allows her to transform and access her adult Sankt Kaiser mode, granting her immense power. Soon, Vivio meets another Sankt Kaiser descendant named Einhart Stratos, who is also determined to prove the strength of her fighting style. Vivio befriends Einhart, and together with their friends, they enter a martial arts tournament, where they encounter various opponents and delve deeper into the mysteries of their past lives.
Additionally, Volume 2 features a one-shot 5th Anniversary Collaboration Comic: Fate/stay night x Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.
