Tasuke is your typical 14-year-old in junior high, save for one key factor: his family abandoned him to travel the globe, leaving him with minimal contact from them. This has left Tasuke feeling isolated and unsatisfied. However, his world gets a major upgrade when his father mails him a Shitenrin ring, filled with powerful magic from China. As a result, a new guardian by the name of Shao Lin emerges from the ring, promising to protect Tasuke for all eternity. Unfortunately, Shao Lin has spent centuries trapped in that very ring and is not familiar with modern-day living, frequently making matters even worse. Nevertheless, Tasuke must adapt to having the cute but inexperienced Shao Lin by his side all the time.
