Despite being raised by a single mother who taught her to always keep smiling through hardships, Tsumire's life takes a turn for the worse after her mother's death. Suddenly, she finds herself uprooted from the only family she's ever known and thrown into the arms of a cold, wealthy family who had disowned her mother for getting pregnant. Though her friends stick by her side, Tsumire can't bring herself to burden them with her problems and instead struggles to keep it all inside. The one unexpected source of comfort comes in the form of the Yuuki family's lawyer, Hino, who becomes her emotional rock during this difficult time.
